Algeria latest country in Hague Apostille Convention
On June 5, 2025, Algeria became the latest country to become a contracting party to the Hague Apostille Convention. Effective July 9, 2026, documents for Algeria will no longer require Embassy Legalization. This will greatly reduce both the cost and time for document authentication under the current Embassy Legalization process. Our team looks forward to simplifying this process for US exporters and freight forwarders beginning next July. In the meantime, we are here to support companies throughout the United States in the Embassy legalization process, which, for Algeria, is both time-consuming and expensive. Happy to see the Hague Apostille Convention grow to 129 contracting countries, as this is good news for U.S. exporters.
