The American World Trade Chamber of Commerce (AWTCC) proudly participated in the 2024 SelectUSA conference. During the four-day event, Director Brian Smith and VP of Partnerships Alex Sonifrank met with chambers, economic partnerships, and state governments from across the US and globally.
SelectUSA focuses on foreign direct investment into the United States, featuring representatives from all 50 US states, US territories, and various branches of the Department of Commerce.
AWTCC initiated conversations with foreign chambers to expand its international network and establish connections for US-based exporters. The organization engaged with several American Chambers of Commerce (AmCham) abroad, including those from the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.
Additional meetings included discussions with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of New York, and the Chamber of Commerce for Casablanca – Settat (Morocco).
Each chamber expressed interest in collaboration, prompting AWTCC to begin tailoring memoranda of understanding (MOUs) for each potential partnership.
AWTCC also reconnected with existing international partners, including the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Indian-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), further strengthening these collaborations.
