The American World Trade Chamber of Commerce (AWTCC) and the US – India Importer’s Council (USIIC) entered into a cooperative arrangement on June 6th, 2025. This arrangement was made official in the joint signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the two parties. Each of the signing parties have unique interest in facilitating and advancing trade between the United States and India. The USIIC operates 10 branches across India and represents members across the country. The alliance here will allow members of both AWTCC and USIIC to benefit from new connections. India represents unique value to AWTCC as it is the top export destination for companies participating in their documentation platform.

Expanding to India

The partnership here allows exporters to have dedicated contacts in India to facilitate their missions. USIIC will be able to assist US based exporters looking to expand their offerings in India and will also be able to assist with trade delegations into the country. Members of AWTCC and AWTCC partner chambers will be able to make the most out of trade delegations and other business trips to India. Interested businesses should contact AWTCC.

Connections here in the US

AWTCC’s growing chamber partner network will also serve to enhance this alliance. To date, over 150 chambers of commerce and other non-profits have joined the Export Documents program managed by AWTCC. This network will help importers travelling from India to the United States to increase the value in their trips and missions. This will lead to better business to business connections made between exporters and importers in their respective countries.

Stabilizing a Dynamic Market

With US trade in a dynamic situation, the alliance here will allow for information to be effectively exchanged and communicated. This will take the form of virtual trainings offered cooperatively by AWTCC and USIIC to their respective markets. These events will be on navigating customs compliance and ensuring US products are easily able to enter into India. Communication between USIIC and AWTCC will ensure our respective audiences are up to date and equipped to take advantage of being well informed.

Closing

AWTCC is proud to have USIIC as a core partner representing US Importers in India. More can be read on their website at: http://usiic-us.com/
